Is there assistive listening in the classrooms?

Yes. There are two assistive listening devices per classroom. They are available for checkout at the Law Technology Helpdesk. 

Can I play DVDs in the classroom?


Yes. The Blu-Ray player in the room can play DVDs.

How do I login into the classroom computer?


You will need to login using your SCU login. After you are done using the computer, please remember to sign out. If you have a guest schedule that is not a member of SCU, please contact us at lawtechhelpdesk.scu.edu and we can provide you with the guest login.

How do I connect my laptop to the projection system in the classroom?


Please use the HDMI or VGA cable in the room to connect your laptop to the system. 

How do I change the temperature in the classrooms?


A request is needed to change the temperature in the classrooms. Please send an email to charneyops@scu.edu. 

Do the classrooms have microphone capabilities?


Yes. There is a podium microphone already in the room. If you need a lapel or handheld microphone, they are available at the library on the second floor of Charney.

How can I turn off the podium microphone in the room?


You can mute the microphone at the touchscreen. 

How can I stream an outside speaker in my class?


Using Skype or Zoom, you can bring an outside speaker into your classroom. 

Do you have laptops available for checkout?


No, Law Technology currently does not, but please inquire with SCU Media Services (408-554-4520) as they may have equipment to check out for short term use.

I need the partition brought up in the Panelli Moot Court Room (102/103), who has the key?


Please stop by Law Library information desk on the 2nd floor of Charney Hall to checkout the key to raise the partition. If you need help, then stop by the Tsai information desk and one our student staff can assist you.
