I'm a law student, and I need to record a guest speaker in a Charney Hall classroom. What do I do?
If you know the Law School event coordinator for that event, then contact that person first so you can get permission from the guest speaker of that event. If the speaker gives the Law School permission to record his/her presentation, then please send your request details to lawtechhelpdesk@scu.edu or create a ticket at LawHelpDesk.scu.edu. You will need to contact us at least two weeks before the scheduled event so that we can verify the request with the Law School event coordinator and/or professor sponsoring your event.
Please include in your ticket request:
- Law School event coordinator's/professor's contact information
- Law School event name/description
- Speaker's name
- room number
- date
- time
NOTE: Use SCU Astra Class Schedule while on campus to quickly look up scheduled events in Charney Hall. Also, Law Technology does not take any personal request to record a class without permission from your professor. You must obtain permission prior to scheduling a classroom recording for your class. Last minute requests without Professor's/Sponsor's permission will be denied.
