If you have already contacted the Office of Accessible Education and have been provided a FM system, then please contact your professor to let them know you will be using this system exclusively in Charney Hall.
Device Responsibility: Law students who opt to use the listening assistance devices (LADs) in Charney Hall must learn how to operate and maintain Charney hall LADs properly. This also applies for FM systems provided by OAE.
Alternative Locations: For functions outside of Charney Hall, law students will need to use an FM system provided by the OAE. The Charney Hall LADs are only for use within Charney Hall.
Battery Management: Law students are responsible for ensuring the Charney Hall LADs are fully charged before each class. If a battery fails or malfunctions, the Law Library Information Desk can provide a single replacement battery* for Charney Hall LADs only.
*NOTE: replacement battery will have to be charged prior to use.
Reporting Issues: Law students that have issues with Charney Hall LADs should report the issue directly to the OAE office (OAE@scu.edu) first. This will allow the OAE to determine the appropriate party to contact, whether it's Media Services, or another department.
