Can Adobe Name Licenses be transferred and does it also pertain to Adobe Sign?
Request: We need to designate our delegated email address to an Acrobat license. What about Adobe Sign?
Per University Finance Office,
Adobe Acrobat (Named User Licenses)
Per Adobe’s policy, licenses cannot be assigned to a generic "departmental" inbox. They must be tied to a specific person.
The Rule: A license requires a real person's name attached to it.
The Workaround: You can use a delegated email (like lawalumni@scu.edu) as the login, provided a specific individual is named as the account holder.
Example: If Jane Smith manages the account, the profile in the Adobe Console would be set up as User: Jane Smith with the Email: lawalumni@scu.edu.
Adobe Sign (Enterprise License)
Because Adobe Sign falls under our Enterprise Agreement, the process is different and more flexible.
No Transfers Needed: You don't need to "move" a license from one person to another. We can simply provision new ones as needed.
Requesting Access: If you need a license for lawalumni@scu.edu, let me know. I will verify if a delegated inbox is eligible under our current agreement and assist with the setup.
