Working with the yellow universal power adapters: Which cable powers what devices?
The Law Library has you covered with our new universal “Hella Yella” power adapters—ready to charge your mobile devices and laptops.
For lower-wattage devices (such as phones and older tablets):
Plug the USB-A end of the multi-color cable into the USB-A port on the power adapter. Then select the connector that matches your device. Please note that this cable is designed for lower-wattage devices only.
For higher-wattage devices (such as Mac and Windows laptops, 2021 models or newer; tablets with USB-C):
Plug the USB-C cable into the USB-C port on the power adapter, then connect the other end directly to your laptop.
MacBook models from 2021 or newer may also use a MagSafe 3 adapter, if preferred.
Stay charged and powered up!
